Collingwood keen for England to learn Twenty20 lessons

Twenty20 captain Paul Collingwood says England have to learn from their three matches in Abu Dhabi this week with the World Cup little more two months away.

England face the England Lions second string side on Wednesday before games with Pakistan on Friday and Saturday.
"This is a big week for us in terms of a squad of guys and getting our minds back on to Twenty20," Collingwood said.
"It's good to have these games before the World Cup to see exactly where we are on team and squad selection."
England's first match in the World Twenty20 is against host nation West Indies on 3 May, with this week's matches their last competitive action before the tournament begins.
Collingwood is in optimistic mood, however, and said: "I'm excited because our batting line-up seems to be getting stronger and stronger with every one-day game we're playing.
"We seem to be a lot more confident now in our batting approach of being able to hit the ball hard and that is obviously one of the main attributes of playing Twenty20 cricket and clearing the ropes.
"We've now got some important and experienced players in the side who can take the game away from the opposition. You need as many match-winners in the side as possible and now we are really starting to get a lot of them."
Looking ahead to the opening game against a Lions side that has convincingly won Twenty20 games against United Arab Emirates and Pakistan A on their tour so far, Collingwood said: "That is an important game which is going to feel like an international because they will certainly want to beat us."

The Pakistan side is a mixture of established Twenty20 exponents such as all-rounder Abdur Razzaq and fast bowler Umar Gul, plus a crop of talented youngsters, under the leadership of Shoaib Malik.
"We are the champions so we know how to play Twenty20 cricket," Malik said, referring to his side's World Twenty20 triumph in England last year.
"[England] are also a good side and so it will be tough matches. We have a few good youngsters who did well in our domestic tournament and that is why they are here, so we are sure they will do well in these coming matches."
